Best Ecommerce Platform For Seo: Use Shopify to Launch Fast!

Best Ecommerce Platform For Seo: Use Shopify to Launch Fast!

Wondering what the best Ecommerce Platform For SEO Is?

Hands down, the answer is Shopify.

Before Shopify, I started out selling on Etsy. Then I added in a GoDaddy Online Store, as well as a shop on Amazon Handmade.

The major limitations of my GoDaddy Online Store surfaced as Pinterest was builiding out its e-commerce features.

GoDaddy did not offer a native integration ... but Shopify did.

When you’re starting an ecommerce business, one of the first things you need to do is build a website.

A website is your shop window, it’s where customers go to learn about your products and services, and it’s the easiest way to connect with new customers from all over the world.

You need an ecommerce partner that moves as fast as the Internet. The alternative is waiting for website builders to create functionality that Shopify launches first.

The easiest way to do this is by building a basic Shopify ecommerce website.

The Shopify website builder is what I recommend for creating an awesome ecommerce site fast.

Shopify was created specifically for e-commerce, and there’s so many reasons I recommend this platform but I’ll just start with a few:

  • 24/7 chat support
  • Shopify App Store, where you will discover solutions to almost every Shopify website need you may have.
  • Easy to use templates including the AHHHHMAZING and FREE 2.0 template, Dawn.
  • Shopify website builder tutorials on YouTube and their Shopify University.
  • A 14 Day Free Trial to get you started – and so much more.

Power Your ECommerce Store With Shopify

Planning Your Shopify Ecommerce Website

In this blog post, we’re going to show you how to plan your Shopify website using the Shopify website builder.

We’ll give you some tips on what elements you need, and we’ll provide some examples of successful Shopify websites.

Let’s get started with the Shopify website builder!

Shopify powers over 1.7 million online stores worldwide.

When it comes to building a basic Shopify website, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First of all, you need to decide on the purpose of your website.

Are you selling products or services? What kind of products or services do you sell? Once you’ve answered these questions, you can start designing your website.

Your website should be easy to navigate, and the best ecommerce platform for SEO will showcase your products or services in a clear and concise way.

Shopify has a theme store with free and paid themes to easily launch your site.

Once you get started and implement more advanced Shopify features (like integrating Google Analytics) you’ll be able to make decisions about your store design based on how your customers use your online store.

For instance, if more people visit your online store using a mobile device, you’ll want to optimize your site for mobile users. Shopify makes this easy to do.

You also need to make sure that your website is optimised for mobile devices, as more and more people are using their phones and tablets to browse the internet.

Creating a Basic Shopify Store – That’s Anything But Basic!

Resources for Creating Your (Anything-but) Basic Shopify Store

We’ve also created a Shopify SEO Checklist for you so you can fine tune your work. But let’s get started and talk about how to implement each of the elements.

Home Page

Your basic Shopify home page should include some basic information about your business, such as your name, logo, and contact information.

You should also use this page to introduce your customers to your products or services.

The home page is the perfect place to show off your most popular products or services, so make sure you highlight them prominently.

You’ll also want to make sure the main visual (aka the “hero image”) clearly communicates the purpose of your website. You can do this by using a high-quality image that showcases your products or services.

Finally, you’ll need to create a call to action (CTA) for your home page. This is the button or text that encourages your customers to take the next step, whether it’s signing up for your newsletter, buying a product, or contacting you for more information.

Contact Page

The Best ECommerce Platform Tips: Always Make it Easy To Contact You

Your contact page should include some basic information about you and your business, such as your name, address, and phone number. You can also use this page to provide links to your social media profiles so customers can connect with you on their favorite platform.

You may also want to include a map of your location so customers can find you easily. And don’t forget to include a contact form so customers can easily get in touch with you.

Forms can be found within the Shopify platform or you can use a free form builder like Wufoo or JotForm.

Terms of Service

Your terms of service (TOS) are important because they outline the legal agreement between you and your customers. Your TOS should include information about your business, such as your name, address, and phone number. It should also outline the products and services you offer, as well as your return policy and refund policy.

You may also want to include a section on Intellectual Property Rights so customers know who owns the copyright for any images or content on your website.

Finally, be sure to have a section on Cookies Policy so customers know how you’re using their data. Data collection is a hot button issue, so addressing this in your Terms of Service is key.

One of the many things I love about Shopify is that they provide a template for your terms of service copy, so I recommend starting there.

Policy Pages: Shipping, Returns, and Refunds

Your policy pages are an important part of your website because they outline the rules for doing business with you. Your shipping policy should include information about your shipping methods and rates.

It’s also a good idea to outline any restrictions you may have, such as which countries you ship to or how much your customers need to spend before free shipping kicks in.

Your return policy is equally important, especially during the holiday season when returns tend to spike.

You’ll want to make sure that your customers know what products are eligible for return, as well as the deadline for returning items. And don’t forget to specify who pays for shipping both ways!

If you make custom projects and do not allow returns, make sure to specify this in the Returns policy section. You’ll also want to address it in the refunds section.

Including all of the above increases your eligibility for the Verified Merchant Program, which I advise all of my clients to apply for. If you are rejected, it’s likely because one of these policies are missing from your home page or your website.

Shopify Product Page

Your product pages are where you showcase your products and encourage customers to buy them. Your product page should include high-quality images of your products, as well as a brief description of what they are and what they do.

Shopify Has All The Features You Need For Your Online Store!

You’ll also want to list the price, any available discounts, and the availability of the product. And don’t forget to add a CTA button so customers can buy the product right away!

One of the best ways to increase your conversion rate is to offer product bundles. A product bundle is when you combine two or more products into a single package deal. This is a great way to increase the average order value of your customers and boost your sales.

Shopify also offers a feature called Collections which allows you to group related products together. The best ecommerce platform for SEO will make it easy for your customers to find what they’re looking for and encourages them to buy more than one product.

Shopify Website Builder: FAQ Page

Providing a FAQ Page Gives Your Customers A Place To Ask Their Burning Questions

An FAQ page is a great way to answer any questions your customers may have. It can also help to reduce the number of customer support tickets you receive.

Your FAQ page should include information about your products, shipping, returns, and refunds. You can also use it to address any common issues or problems your customers may experience.

Shopify provides a default FAQ template which you can customize according to your needs. I recommend adding as much information as possible so that your customers have everything they need right at their fingertips.

Bonus: Basic Shopify Checkout Page

The checkout page is where your customers finalize their purchase and provide their payment information. It’s important that this page be as user-friendly as possible, so make sure all of the fields are clearly labeled and easy to fill out.

You’ll also want to include a section for coupon codes, as well as any terms and conditions related to your sale. The Shopify website builder makes this easy when you utilize the theme templates.

Shopify Checkout Payment Processing Makes It Easy and Stress-Free to Process Sales

Shopify payments make it so easy to accept payments via Credit Card or even through installments!

There’s so much to love but you won’t have to worry about credit card details! All credit card transactions are handled through the Shopify system.

Shopify even provides a free SSL certificate. Online transactions are a breeze and lets you focus on what store owners need to focus on, which is to sell services and products.

Shopify merchants pay credit card fees but there are no per transaction fees like on Etsy.

Make sure that you have a secure checkout process so customers feel safe providing their payment information. Shopify offers a number of different security features, so be sure to take advantage of them!

These are the basic elements you need to get started. You can tweak your Shopify store and make it better and better – but try not let the pressure of having a “perfect” Shopify website prevent you from launching.

The Shopify app store: Support You Didn’t Know You Needed

When I started my Shopify store, I was SHOCKED to find out that they provided 24/7 support.

That’s what made the Shopify website builder so much easier to use – and also a lot more fun.

Shopify’s 24/7 Chat Support Is A Game Changer For Ecommerce Businesses

Running a business is lonely and it was so encouraging not feel so alone and isolated! At the time, my existing website lacked 90% of the features that Shopify offered.

What was REALLY crazy? The Shopify pricing plan was the same as my existing website – with a thousand times more functionality!

The basic plan gives you all the features you need to run your business. My existing site had given me far less for a more expensive monthly plan fee!

It kept getting better as I realized that the Shopify app store was all about giving me tools – a lot of them FREE – to solve the problems that arise from growing an online store.

For instance, I had a bottleneck in my business where clients would buy, but then they needed me to create a folder in order for us to move forward with their project.

My Shopify ecommerce website now has an app attached that allows my customers to buy and upload their files – without waiting on me!

This is HUGE!
